As a crucial component of beer gas, nitrogen is the best natural propellant for pushing both draft beer and wines on tap. It’s a clean gas that is not absorbed by the liquid – wine or beer – it’s helping to push. Airgas provides customers with nitrogen in a number of convenient and cost-effective ways. In addition to providing standard beer gas that is pre-mixed with nitrogen, we deliver nitrogen in its own cylinders to those customers who have invested in nitrogen blenders and large bulk CO2 tanks. The combination of bulk CO2, the gas blenders and the nitrogen we deliver, enables these large organizations to make their own beer gas on site. Airgas also provides nitrogen to smaller operations that do not require bulk CO2 tanks nor have the capital or need to invest in nitrogen generators. We simply provide them with small nitrogen cylinder packs which perfectly compliment their CO2 small packs. The nitrogen cylinder packs are also essential to customers who have an extensive wine list and have few wines on tap for convenience and speed.
